Yesterday was the first day at HIMSS, and was filled with lots of great conversations. It is always great to see old friends and make new ones. The topic on everyone’s lips seems to be around CCD and integrating with their HIE.
As we all know it is important part to each hospitals infrastructure. Summit is helping bridge that gap with our new Care Exchange product. It will configure your CCD interfaces easily to other entities and allows integration of CCD documents with systems that are not compatible with CCD format. Care Exchange also gives control over all filtering and routing of CCD documents and ability to push to other entities with in the hospitals network. Our new mapper can reformat CCD documents into other formats if need be but most important is our HISP integration.
Another common theme is upgrading downtime solutions to met the HIPPA Final Rule. CIO’s have been asking for a centralized robust tool that gives clinician a snap shot of important patient data but meets meaningful use stage 2 requirements.
